Yellow
Lady's-Slipper
Cypriedium
parviflorum |

Blooms: May to June. Habitat: Moist to wet, shaded or open sites. This rare, showy orchid is threatened with extinction in many areas. Often picked by unthinking passers-by and dug up by gardeners. Like most orchids, they depend on fungi in the soil for survival, making it difficult to transplant them successfully. They should not be removed from their natural habitat. The gland-tupped hairs on these plants may irritate sensitive skin. |
