Jazz Fest & Art Walk

May 19 - 20 — Jazz Fest is one of the highlights of the spingtime season. Free concerts by regional groups and artists held every year in conjunction with Art Walk. Performances take place between 12:30 and 5:00 p.m. right downtown in Bond Park.

Annual Wool Market

June 16 - 17 — This fiber festival in the Rockies is the largest natural fiber show in the country with two days of exhibits, demonstrations, competitions and vendor booths.

Scandinavian Midsummer Festival

June 22 - 24 — Come celebrate the summer solstice in the Scandinavian tradition with an enormous bonfire at the Lake Estes Marina. Lake Estes Marina is located at the northeast corner of Lake Estes just off of US 34. On Saturday the activities at Bond Park include a colorful opening ceremony, parade of national flags, and no-stop performances from Scandinavian dance and folk groups. Bond Park is located just east of downtown Estes Park on the north side of Elkhorn Ave.

Estes Cycling Challenge

June 23 - 24 — Three stages in two days, with two road races on two different 8 mile circuit courses and one individual time trial of approximately three miles. An ACA permitted Road Stage Race.

The Estes Park Jaycees 32nd Annual 4th of July Shoot-Out

July 4, 2000 — The Fireworks in Estes Park are the 5th largest in Colorado! Activities start at dusk, usually between 9:30 and 9:45 on the North Shore of Estes Park Lake. Excellent viewing from anywhere around the lake. The Estes Park Firework display has become so popular with people from Denver to Fort Collins, that it can take from two to three time as long to get back to their homes in the front range.

July 10 - 15 (7:30 p.m.)— Grab your cowboy hat and boot and head on over to the Stanley Park Fairgrounds for six PRCA Rodeo sanctioned events including Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Calf Roping, Bareback Bronc Riding, Lady's Barrel Racing and Bull Riding. Also, Team Roping and Mutton Bustin'. Be around on July 10 for the 10:30 am Parade down Elkhorn Ave. that will include bands, groups on horseback, floats, unique automobiles, rodeo royalty and more.

Queens Dance on Saturday July 14 (9:00 p.m.) at the Estes Park Conference Center with Woodie Procell & The Snowy River Band ($6 per person).

General admission prices are $12 for adults and $5 for children (3 to 11). Box seats are available for $15. 24th Annual Longs Peak Scottish Irish Festival

September 6 - 9 — Competition is the name of the games at the Scottish Highland/Irish Festival at Stanley Park Fairgrounds. Get ready for bagpipers, Scottish Highland and Irish Step Dancing in addition to the sport competitions of caber toss (throwing a telephone pole sized log end to end.), and such things as the sheaf toss, the hammer throw, and the stone put. Also, there are traditional jousting competitions with real weapons and competitors from all over the world.

When you tire of the competition, you can listen to folk singers, storytellers and fiddle players. Eat anything from hot dogs to traditional Cornish pasties. Drinks include soft drinks to single malt Scotch whiskey. More than just a touch of Scotland and Ireland.

Autumn Gold - A Festival of Brats & Bands

Autumn Gold

September 22 - 23 — Beginning at 10:30 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday there will be brats, soft drinks, beer and hot cider in Bond Park, to enjoy along with the live music until 6 p.m.

Sunday will also feature the annual Autumn Gold raffle, with periodic drawings including a $5,000 cash prize.

Sponsored by the Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary and the Town of Estes Park.

November 24 — Every year on the day after thanksgiving, the Catch the Glow Christmas Parade draws amost 40,000 people to Estes Park for the Annual Christmas Parade. Visitors from all the Front Range comminities come to Estes Park to enjoy a day of shopping, visiting the park and to enjoy all the wide furry creatures that rome up and down main street greating all with holliday cheer. This is one of the major events of the year.

Celebrate in Estes Park®

December 9-10 — Events start at noon with visits with Santa and adorable walking characters along Elkhorn Ave. At 5:30 pm, the ""Come Catch the Glow" Christmas parade of lights begins with floats with floats with thousands of tiny twinkling lights roll by lighting up the street. There are giant wooden soldiers, storybook figures, angels, snowmen, marching bands, celebrities, wildlife characters…and so much more!
