Discovery Hike with a Ranger
Spend a half-day exploring the trails of Rocky with a
park ranger as your guide. Meet at shuttle bus parking area for this moderate 3

sub-alpine forest near Dream Lake on this moderate 2-mile hike. Meet at the
Bear Lake parking lot for this moderate 2 to 2 1/2 hike.
The Importance of Being a Beaver
Beavers drastically change their environment, and they
have all sorts of neat adaptations to help them do so. Learn all about it and
see their work first hand during this 1½-hour moderate walk at Hollowell
Park.
Bear Lake Stroll
Enjoy an easy walk around a lovely sub-alpine lake and
learn about the natural and human forces that have shaped this landscape. Meet
at Bear Lake parking lot for the easy 1 to 1½ hour
stroll.

Rocky After Dark Sense the wilderness come alive as
darkness settles over the mountains during this 1½-hour
walk.Reservations required. Each person must be present to make his or her reservation at Moraine Park Museum on the day of the program.

Hike the Divide A strenuous 2-mile 1,000' vertical climb leads to a complex
tundra ecosystem. Experience the aesthetic job of the land above the trees.
Bring warm clothes, rain gear, water and snacks. Meet at the Milner Pass
parking area. 4 hour hike.
Tundra to Trees Hike an ancient trail of the Ute People that leads from
alpine heights down through old growth forest. Meet at the Milner Pass parking
area to carpool for this moderate 4-mile 4-hour hike. Bring warm clothes, rain
gear, water and snacks.
High Country Geology
The park's spectacular scenery represents a chapter in
a long history of geologic events. Join us on this hike over the tundra &
experience the effects of these geologic processes. Meet at the Alpine Visitor
Center flagpole. Bring warm clothes, rain gear, water and snacks for this
3-hour hike.
Tundra Nature Walk
Exhilarate your senses with sweeping alpine views and
miniature wildflower gardens unique to this land above the trees. Dress warmly
and bring wind gear. Meet at the Alpine Visitor Center and be prepared to
caravan to the walk location. 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Farview Mountain ecosystems,
river bottom wetlands, 880's fire effects and diverse habitats are seen from
